Notes and whiteboards

Notes is for anything written down: site notes, meeting notes, ideas, checklists. Whiteboards are for drawing: sketches, layouts, plans and brainstorms. Both can be linked to contacts and projects, so they show on those pages too.

Write a note

  1. Open Notes and press + (New note).
  2. Start typing. The first line becomes the note's title.
  3. It saves as you type.

Dictate at the bottom turns speech into text. Press it again to stop.

In the note:

  • Type / for headings, lists, checklists, tables, images and files.
  • Drag files or photos onto the note to put them in it.
  • Click Open at the bottom to see the note full page.

Notebooks

Notebooks group notes, such as "Site notes" or "Ideas".

  • To make one, press ... at the top of Notes and choose New notebook.
  • To put a note in one, press + Add shortcut > Select notebook… at the bottom of the note. To move several, select them in the list, then choose Notebook from the selection menu.
  • All notebooks at the top shows just the notes in the notebooks you pick.

Whiteboards

  1. Open Whiteboards and press + (New whiteboard).
  2. Give it a name and press Create.
  3. Draw with the tools at the top: shapes, arrows, lines, text, freehand drawing and images.

The whiteboard saves as you go. Teammates who open the same whiteboard see each other's changes and pointers as they happen.

A project's page has a Whiteboard section for that job's sketches. Its menu picks the whiteboard to show, and has New whiteboard.

Shortcut cards

A whiteboard can hold cards that link to contacts, projects, sales, notes and other records, such as one for the client beside the plan of their deck.

  1. Press the @ button at the top right of the whiteboard, or press the @ key.
  2. Search for the record and pick it. The card appears on the board.
  3. To go to it, select the card and press Open under it.
